How the Aviator game works: rules, RTP & the crash algorithm

What is the Aviator game?

Aviator is a crash game. A red plane takes off, a multiplier starts at 1.00× and climbs. You've placed a bet before take-off; your job is to cash out before the plane flies away. If you cash out at 2.45× on a Rs 100 bet, you win Rs 100 × 2.45 = Rs 245. If the plane flies away first, you lose the Rs 100.

• Studio: Spribe (released 2019).
• RTP: 97% — the long-run return to all players, meaning the house keeps a 3% edge.
• Max multiplier: 10,000×.
• Provably fair: the crash point is locked in before the round starts, using a server seed — neither side can change it.
• Two bets per round: place one or two bets, useful for a "safe + risky" combo.

How to play Aviator, step by step

1. Choose your bet. Set the amount (e.g. Rs 100) on the bet panel. You can place a second bet in the other panel at the same time.
2. Press Bet before the round starts. There's a ~5-second window between rounds — get your bet in then.
3. Watch the multiplier climb. The plane takes off and the multiplier rises from 1.00×. The longer it flies, the bigger the number.
4. Cash out before it flies away. Tap the Cash Out button when you're happy. Your winnings = bet × the multiplier at that instant.
5. (Optional) Auto cashout. Set a target (e.g. 2.00×) and the game cashes out for you the moment it's reached — if the plane hasn't flown away first.

The math behind Aviator: the crash algorithm

This is the part most "how Aviator works" pages skip. The crash point of each round follows a known distribution:

P(reach at least x×) = 0.97 ÷ x

That single line tells you almost everything:

• Reach 2.00×: 0.97 ÷ 2 = 48.5% of rounds.
• Reach 5.00×: 0.97 ÷ 5 = 19.4% of rounds.
• Reach 10.00×: 0.97 ÷ 10 = 9.7% of rounds.
• Reach 100×: 0.97 ÷ 100 = 0.97% of rounds — about 1 in 103.

1. Before the round, the server publishes a hash of its secret seed.
2. The round's crash point is computed from that seed plus a client seed (yours).
3. After the round, the server reveals the seed. You can recompute the hash and confirm it matches — proving the result was fixed in advance.

No predictor can see this seed before the round resolves — which is the technical reason no app can predict Aviator.
